David Bentley cannot wait for derby match
It has been a year of living dangerously for David Bentley, whether being booed, and responding in kind, by England supporters for announcing that he was “too fatigued” to go the Under21 European Championships, barefacedly asking for a transfer on television, or risking stirring local passion by joining Tottenham Hotspur having been groomed at Arsenal. All of which, it seems, inspires him.

The build up to an exciting Friday
Yes Arsene we have enough forwards but don’t let Amaury Bischoff be the end of the summer signings. Amaury was free for a start so that’s cheating, having only made one professional appearance at 21 for Weder Bremen, nobody can claim to know anything about the new young gun. I hope he turns out to [...]

A pea would be rather generous
Ian Wright has never been the sharpest tool in the box, in fact if he was a tool (some would say he most definitely is these days) I'd suspect that he'd be so very soft and blunt that you could use him as a cushion. The Online Gooner has picked up on some rather stupid (at best), disrespectful and disgraceful (in reality) comments of his that have appeared in the Sun 'newspaper', personally my

They go together like flies and s*it!.........
So Arsenal reject, David "I'm sooooo good" Bentley, has finalised a deal to join the Spuds for a whopping £15m. The fee could rise even higher based on appearances!Arsenal have done alright from the deal as well, pocketing a lovely £7m to boost the coffers. Not bad for a player who made one Premiership appearance in an Arsenal shirt.Nice one Le Boss!I think he's a good player, not great, but £15m?.......It shows how ludicrous the market is nowadays buying English players. Mind you, the deal w...

So we kicked off our pre-season-proper with a decent 3-1 win over Jens Lehmann’s Stuttgart. It was the first game of the new campaign for most of our big names and you could argue our starting 11 was full-strength:
Almunia
Sagna - Djourou - Gallas (c) - Clichy
Walcott - Eboue - Denilson - Nasri
Adebayor - van Persie
